This first installment’s aim is to set out an outline (as opposed to a complete summary of all recent and relevant jurisprudence on the matter) of the protective options available to spouses, registered partners, or cohabiting partners.

The second installment (to be published soon) will focus on the consequences of domestic violence on the effects of separation or divorce, as well as on the proceedings themselves.
